I am deeply attracted to modern tango. My tangos are written in a personal style and are not intended to be like conventional ballroom tango music. This music has a great amount of freedom, expanded harmonic colors, and uses shifting time for a feeling of fluid movement.
The photo used for the cover art was taken inside our 120-year old barn in Morgan County, WV. Major repairs were being made to the structure. The image represents how I think of my written music as being a framework for a collective creative process. This enables the music to change, evolve, and be a fresh experience each time it is performed.
The Info section for each track has detailed descriptions of the music.
Lead sheets and ensemble scores & parts for these pieces are available at Sheet Music Plus.
